The Organizing Committee of the Malaysian Association of Sports Medicine Conference 2026 invites clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals, and students to submit abstracts showcasing original research, audits, case series, and innovations in the following areas: 

• Clinical Sports Medicine
• Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy
• Exercise Physiology & Performance
• Sports Science & Biomechanics
• Exercise Medicine & Public Health
• Special Populations in Sport
• Research Methods, Education & Innovation

While authors may indicate a preference for oral or poster presentation, the Scientific Committee reserves the right to determine the final presentation format.

Oral Presentation:

1. All abstracts submitted for oral presentation will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation will be offered poster presentation.
2. Each oral presentation will be allocated a total of 10 minutes, comprising 8 minutes for the presentation followed by a 2-minute question-and-answer session.
3. The PowerPoint slides of the presentation must be shared with the organizer before the conference. Instructions for submitting the presentation will be provided in the acceptance email.

Poster Presentation:

1. Instructions for poster preparation will be provided in the acceptance email. 
2. Posters must be prepared and displayed in accordance with the specified guidelines and within the designated time period.

Abstract Formatting Guidelines:

1. Abstracts should be written in English.
2. Title:
   1. Centered and bold.
   2. Capitalized the first letter of each word, except articles (a, an, the), coordinating conjunctions (and, or, for) and prepositions (for, to, in, between).
3. Author’s name:
   1. First (Given) name followed by last (family) name
4. Affiliation:
   1. Address should be concise as indicated in the template. 
5. Correspondence:
   1. Provide the corresponding author’s email address.
6. Abstract:
   1. Paragraph is Justified and NOT bold.
   2. Write in a single paragraph. Write in a single paragraph. Use standard section headings. Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results, and Conclusion. 
      For case reports, use Background, Case Summary, and Conclusion/ Implications. Bold all headings. 
   3. The content should be limited to 250 words.
   4. Do not include reference or citation. 
7. Keywords:
   1. Justified and NOT bold.
   2. Include a maximum of 5 keywords.
   3. Separate each keyword with a semi-colon (;).
8. Abstracts may be edited for up to one week after submission. Please ensure the abstract is final and ready for review after this period.
